Hawks' Jonathan Kuminga Out Through All-Star Break with Left Knee Injury (2026)

The Atlanta Hawks' newly acquired forward, Jonathan Kuminga, will be out of action for at least a week due to a left knee bone bruise, as announced by the team before their home game against Charlotte on Saturday night. Kuminga sustained the injury while playing for the Golden State Warriors in Dallas on January 22nd. The Hawks acquired Kuminga and guard Buddy Hield in a trade that sent center Kristaps Porzingis to the Warriors on Wednesday night. Kuminga's recovery will be assessed following the All-Star break. Meanwhile, Atlanta forward-center Onyeka Okongwu, who had been missing four games due to a dental fracture, is set to return against Charlotte, sporting a protective mask during pregame warmups.
