Get ready for some exciting news about one of Disneyland's beloved spots! Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, located at the Disneyland Hotel, will soon undergo a significant transformation as it prepares to close its indoor area for refurbishment.
According to a report from MickeyVisit.com, starting February 17, 2026, the enchanting indoor space of Trader Sam’s will be temporarily closed for updates and improvements. This closure comes after Disneyland submitted a permit back in October, detailing various changes that are set to enhance the guest experience at this popular venue.
The permit outlines specific renovations that include the replacement of 42 gas tiki torches with epoxy anchors on the exterior, the installation of an air conditioning system in the electrical room, and updates to interior show effects, lighting systems, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. These planned enhancements aim to maintain the bar's vibrant atmosphere, famous for its Jungle Cruise-themed decor and unique interactive drink presentations.
While the indoor seating will be off-limits during the renovation period, there is no need for guests to miss out on the delightful offerings of Trader Sam’s. The outdoor dining and bar areas will remain operational, allowing visitors to savor the delicious food and beverages available.
Currently, Disneyland has not provided a specific date for when the indoor space will reopen or detailed the full extent of the refurbishment plans. For those eager to get a glimpse of what Trader Sam’s has to offer, including its creative drink options, there is a fantastic video available showcasing a mixology class held during the Food & Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure Park.
